The Rt Honourable Lord Hurd of Westwell has stepped down from his post as deputy chairman and board member of Coutts & Co after more than a decade of service.
Lord Hurd was first elected as a Member of Parliament in 1974, and during his time in the House of Commons occupied some of the most senior posts in the country, including serving latterly as Foreign Secretary.
He became the deputy chairman of Coutts & Co in 1998, a year after becoming chairman of British Invisibles.
Chairman Lord Home has described Lord Hurd as a great ambassador for the bank, and praised his drive, enthusiasm and commitment.
Lord Home went on to thank Lord Hurd for his dedication to the firm, and wished him all the best for the future.
