Deutsche Bank has named Colin Grassie as the firm’s new chief executive officer for the United Kingdom.
He formerly held the post of Deutsche Bank’s Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) CEO, where he ran the firm’s regional management and strategic business development.
In his new position Grassie will be responsible for managing government and regulator relations, as well as continuing to develop relationships with key clients.
As well as this he will chair the governance and executive management committees for the UK.
In a second major UK appointment, the former chairman of Deutsche Bank London, Charles Aldington, will become a senior adviser and provide advice regarding select UK clients.
Jürgen Fitschen, Deutsche Bank’s Regional Management chief, has expressed the bank’s confidence in Grassie’s abilities due to his successful track record as CEO of Asia Pacific.
