Morgan Stanley has announced the appointment of Anthony Heredia as the firm’s new CEO of Morgan Stanley Investment Management in India.
Heredia, who joined the firm in February of last year, succeeds Narayan Ramachandran.
He brings with him over a decade of experience of asset management in the subcontinent, and before joining Morgan Stanley served with as HSBC Asset Management (India) Private Limited’s chief of sales and distribution.
Over the last year the firm has created the Morgan Stanley A.C.E Fund, and opened nine branches across India.
At the end of 2007 its investment team was bolstered by the appointment of two highly experienced individuals, Jayesh Gandhi and Navneet Munot.
Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s chief for Asia, Blair Pickerell, has described how the firm has a high trajectory of growth within India.
Pickerell went on to say how India is a critical area for asset growth in the firm’s business in Asia.
