Prudential Annuities has announced the appointment of Dr. Quincy Krosby as chief market strategist.

In her newly created position Dr. Krosby will report directly to the head of Investment management, Timothy Cronin.

Financial professionals, clients and individual investors will all benefit from the doctor’s perspective on the economy and financial markets as she undertakes the duties of her new post.

The president of Prudential Annuities, Stephen Pelletier, has welcomed Dr. Krosby to her new post, describing her as an invaluable resource with extensive experience.

Dr. Krosby herself has expressed her delight at her new appointment, adding that the recent financial events on the world stage underscore the importance of proper financial education and longterm planning.

Earlier in her career she worked as chief investment strategist for The Hartford, and as Deutsche Bank Asset Management’s global investment strategist.
