Deutsche Bank has won the Euromoney Best Global Investment Bank Award for Excellence, as announced at the awards dinner yesterday.
The German banking institution’s risk reduction through a successful recalibration strategy and its strong financial performance were both factors in its award triumph.
Euromoney praised Deutsche Bank for managing to combine a fundamental transformation of its business whilst simultaneously enjoying strong profitability.
Deutsche Bank’s Josef Ackermann described the award as recognition of the firm’s rapid response to the changing conditions in the financial world following the financial crisis and global recession.
Head of the Corporate and Investment Bank Anshu Jain and Management Board Member Michael Cohrs said that the firm’s ability to increase Corporate and Investment Bank market share whilst reducing risk was a testament to the efforts of the bank’s staff.
Deutsche Bank also won a number of other awards, including being named the Best Bank in Germany.
