Lloyds Banking Group has made a number of senior staff changes and appointments at its insurance division, while at the same time saying goodbye to the last remaining members of the old HBOS board.
Ex-HBOS Jo Dawson, director of wealth and international, and Dan Watkins, managing director of mortgages, are leaving “to pursue other opportunities”.
Ms Dawson’s responsibilities will be taken up by Truett Tate, the group’s executive director of wholesale, while Mike Kulam, operations director of mortgages, will cover Mr Watkins’ post until a permanent appointment is made.
Turning to the insurance division, deputy group chairman, Lord Leitch, will become chairman and Archie Kane will continue as deputy chairman and group executive director, insurance.
Phil Loney will move from managing director general insurance to become managing director life, pensions and investments, reporting to Archie Kane.
Andy Briggs, currently managing director of Scottish Widows, will take up the post of managing director general insurance, also reporting to Mr Kane.
The group’s current life, pensions and investment finance director, Jim McConville, will be replaced by Kerr Luscombe at the end of March.
Mr Luscombe joins from Pearl Assurance, where he is currently general manager.
Finally, Ed Smith is joining as managing director of operations, having previously held the post of chief operating officer for RBS Insurance.
