Nomura Holdings, Inc.’s wholly owned subsidiary Nomura Asset Management Co. Ltd. has announced the appointment of Yoshihiro Namura as chief investment officer.
Namura, who assumes his post from 1 April, will be supported by newly appointed chief investment officers of Equities and Fixed Income.
President and CEO of Nomura Asset Management Atsushi Yoshikawa has praised Namura’s experience in investment and research, and expressed his confidence in the new chief investment officer’s capability to do well in his new post.
Yoshikawa also paid tribute to the incumbent chief investment officer, Takahide Mizuno, and thanked him for his contribution to the firm over the last three decades.
Mizuno has said that he is confident the firm’s product range will continue to be enhanced by his successor in the years to come and indicated he would support the new appointments in his capacity as an adviser.
