Bank of America Merrill Lynch has announced the appointment of Benjamin Perkins as the firm’s new MD of life sciences investment banking.
He joins the firm from Pacific Growth Equities, where he served as MD and head of life sciences investment banking.
Earlier in his career he worked for Advest Group as an associate.
In his new San Francisco-based role Perkins will be directly responsible to Charles Ditkoff, managing director and head of Americas healthcare corporate and investment banking.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch is one of the globe’s leading healthcare investment banks, recently its market share was ranked third in the world, with over 10% of global market share.
Paul Donofrio, global head of healthcare, consumer and retail and technology, media and telecom corporate and investment banking, has stated that the firm owed its strong leadership position to its in-depth understanding of the sector and its talented pool of professionals.
