Nationwide’s main FlexAccount customers can now benefit from a new lower rate five year personal loan with 7.6% APR typical for loans of between £7,500 and £14,999.
This rate is the lowest in the country, and remains at the same level regardless of whether it is taken out via the telephone, internet or in person at a branch.
With the spending splurge for Christmas at an end, many seek to use the New Year period to take out loans in order to consolidate debts.
For example, doing this for credit card debt can see money saved as interest payments are reduced.
Nationwide’s credit cards and personal loans chief Richard Napier has described the new, lower rate loan as a good option for those who have incurred Christmas debt, reducing monthly outgoings into a single payment.
