Rodman & Renshaw, a subsidiary of Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group, has announced it has bolstered its healthcare group with the hiring of H. Gill Sawhney, a senior banker.
Sawhney first joined the firm on 28 August, bringing with him 19 years of experience as a banker catering to the healthcare industry.
He joined from Morgan Joseph & Co, where he served as co-head of investment banking and MD.
Earlier in his career he worked for Thomas Weisel as head of healthcare investment banking, and prior to that Sawhney worked as an MD with ING Barings.
Over the course of his working life, Sawhney has closed over 90 deals, worth well over $8bn.
In his new post his primary focus will be upon life sciences and medical devices, as well as other sectors of healthcare.
