The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) has won the Best Retail Bank of China award from the Asian Banker magazine.
The award is the highest the magazine grants to Chinese banks, and the ICBC’s triumph marks the fourth time in the last six years it has won.
In addition, the ICBC also gained the Best Large Retail Bank of China and Best Multi-channel Bank of China awards.
The Asian banker bases its awards on a number of factors, including product sale and innovation, retail trade, channel distribution and efficiency and retail business team construction.
Amongst the grounds for the ICBC’s triple success are the substantial improvement to its retail business, and the rapid pace of product sale and innovation that has occurred recently.
