Wells Fargo & Company has announced the appointment of Tim Sloan as the firm’s chief administrative officer.
The newly created position will see Sloan directly responsible to President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John G. Stumpf.
In turn, the Corporate Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility, Enterprise Marketing, Government Relations and Human Resources functions will all report, with immediate effect, to Sloan.
Sloan, who is also an executive vice president of the firm, most recently served as head of Commercial Banking, Real Estate and Specialized Financial Services, supervising the activities of the Wholesale Banking group.
He brings more than a quarter of a century of experience to his new position with the firm.
Sloan began his career with a three year stint with Continental Bank, after which he joined Wells Fargo, where he has worked for more than two decades.
Stumpf has praised Sloan’s business acumen and leadership qualities, adding that he was a trustworthy and effective ambassador for Wells Fargo.
