Granville Associates Limited has entered administration.
The pioneering firm, which provided the banking sector with software products, is the clear market leader and has no true rival.
An enormous amount of technical expertise has been built up by Granville Associates, which would be difficult for any would-be competitor to match.
Last year it recorded turnover of £1.4m, with a predicted increase to £2.06m for this year, more than doubling in 2010 to £4.75m.
Its business intelligence software has been bought and installed by eight banks, and further work is to be done for five of them.
Amco Agency Ltd ’s Michael Charles and Dana Gordon-Davis of Novitas Partners LLP have been appointed to dispose of the company, or its assets.
The joint administrators are Stephen Mark Katz and David Birne of Fisher Partners London.
