Barclaycard revamps online account service

Barclaycard has launched, mybarclaycard, a new online account service for its customers.

The change is aimed at making it simpler for card holders to monitor and manage their accounts while at the same time giving them more control by, for example, offering different ways of viewing account information and spending.

The website has a simple log-in procedure, at no cost to security, and customers can even move expenditure from one category to another depending, for example, whether they see their gym membership as Leisure, Health or Entertainment.

Transactions can be filtered and searched to help trace and confirm spending and customers can obtain details on each item, including how the purchase was made.

The new system has been tested for approval by 20,000 Barclaycard customers and the lender’s UK chief executive, Amer Sajed, comments: “I’m delighted by the feedback we’ve already received from the thousands of customers who have helped us develop this new site and I’m convinced that all our customers will find the new website helpful and useful.”
