Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of Ulf Wokurka as chief country officer in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He brings more than two decades of banking experience to his new position, including 16 years occupying senior management positions within Deutsche Bank.
Wokurka has worked in London, New York and Central and Eastern Europe and established the bank’s first representative office in Central Asia.
Wokurka, who assumed his responsibilities today, will be based in the nation’s largest city, Almaty, and from there direct the bank’s operations in Kazakhstan.
He will report directly to Peter Tils, chief executive officer of Central and Eastern Europe.
Management Board Member Jürgen Fitschen expressed his confidence in Wokurka, and warmly welcomed his appointment as chief country officer of Kazakhstan.
