by Richard Kilner
Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the leader of the Council of Ministers of the Islamic Development Bank, has stated that the kingdom is committed to enhancing the position of women in the process of development through proper allocation of money pledged in the budget.
In a speech delivered at the consultative women’s meeting of the IDB Shaikh Ahmed singled out the Bahrain Development Bank for praise, citing its dedication to supporting businesswoman with small and medium sized businesses.
He also praised the Supreme Council for Women, which works to encourage Bahraini woman across society.
Shaikh Ahmed added that without active investment in human resources economic success was beyond hope.
Development, he said, required investment not just in financial and natural resources, but human resources too.
